Hal Moore was born on Febuary 13th 1922 in the small town of Bardstown Kentucky.
He went on to become a famous General throughout his military career including the 1965 battle of the Ia Drang Valley in vietnam.
This battle was depicted in his book We Were Soldiers Once... and Young. His book has now become a major motion
picture.
