Lt. General Hal Moore retired from the U.S. Army after 32 years of active duty. After his retirement in 1977 he became the Executive Vice President of Crested Butte Ski resort in Colorado. Throughout his life he has showed to be an exceptional leader with amazing results in doing so. During the '80s and early '90s he researched and wrote a book We Were Soldiers Once.... and Young. His book is now a major motion picture starring Mel Gibson as Lt. General Hal Moore.
